The first singles match of Toma Junior Popov (France) was a complete success. After winning two straight sets against Howard Shu (USA), the Frenchman now faces the legendary Indonesian player Anthony Ginting.
Can Toma pull off a surprise win and send France to the last 16? The pair have played each other once before, in the round of 16 at the 2023 French Open, when Ginting won 11-21, 21-17, 21-19 against Popov. They will face each other as early as tomorrow at 4.30pm (CET). We will keep you updated.
