Michael Sogaard
Character Introduction
Michael Søgaard (February 4, 1969) is a retired Danish male badminton player.
Michael Søgaard made his debut with the Danish national team in 1992. Since then he has won many Danish tournaments. He represented the Kastrup-Magleby badminton club and won ten national championship titles. He won three bronze medals at the World Badminton Championships and won the mixed doubles title at the World Grand Prix Finals.
Søgaard represented Denmark in the 1996 Thomas Cup. In the final against Indonesia, he played second doubles with Henrik Svale and lost to the team of Bongbong Supriyonto/Kuo Hongyuan 7:15, 18:14, 8:15. In the end, Denmark finished second with a 0-5 loss.
