Li Ning AXFORCE 100: Excellent, not by benchmarking

Painting peak

We all know that Audi is the ‘light factory’ in the automotive world, and Li-Ning is definitely the ‘paint factory’ in the badminton racket world.

AXFORCE 100 publicity picture came out when I once criticised the large area of the use of champagne gold, and defined it as ‘dirt gold less a ho’ – ‘dirt gold’, I did not expect, after the actual shot to hand! Really fragrant.

The gold colour in kind is much more natural and advanced than what you see in the picture, and the texture is full. For example, the shooting frame 1 point and 11 points of the area, the gold colour shows the effect of brushed, full of metal;

The brand logo on the t-tip and the ‘AXFORCE’ logo at 7 o’clock is a dark gold laser sticker, adding a touch of coolness.

The razor-sharp dorsal fin element represents the racquet’s continuous attack attributes (very apt, just as a few scales get progressively smaller, so does the power of your continuous kills).

The centre pole is detailed with a unicorn head and sharp claws on the front and back.

The racket through the racket was entwined with flames, scale elements, and it was a foreign fire that contained purple, green, gold, and red, setting a mysterious and dangerous atmosphere.

The centre pole logo, on the other hand, consists of a gold laser sticker and a vignette made of scales.

Regardless of the aesthetics, the AXFORCE 100’s paint job has few rivals in the world. In terms of aesthetics, nine out of ten girls will not like it.

Even for me personally, I was amazed when I first got my hands on the Thunder 100, but a moment’s glory doesn’t mean eternity, and after two days of use, I was already aesthetically fatigued, and found the paintwork to be overly glamorous, and even ostentatious.

However, I still hope that Li-Ning can continue this painting standard, pattern design to do some subtraction on the good, do not need to be so complicated. After all, the skin is always the deciding factor in the first impression.

Stacking Peak

It seems that foreign brands are more focused on tuning, and domestic brands are more fond of stacking materials.

Just like iPhone versus Xiaomi, Tesla versus domestic trolley, YY versus Li Ning. However, our 100 megapixel does not necessarily shoot better than others, 16GB of RAM does not necessarily run smoother than others‘ 6GB, and the M50 carbon does not necessarily feel better than others’ slightly lower-grade carbon.

Since M50 can’t work, then M50+M40X, M50+T1100. admit it, it doesn’t exist.

Our 6.2mm seems to be no match for the competition’s 6.2mm, then bend the road to overtake, 6.0mm process ‘has long been mature’, we are the first, the thinnest, congratulations.

The bottom rubber and bottom cover are the only ones that have been reduced.

The backing is thinner to the touch, and not much thicker than the g6 with the backing, perhaps to reduce weight. I should have gone to the bottom to weigh the backing, but this time the thickness of the backing surprised me by matching the thickness I’m used to, and it felt pretty good in my hand, so I put that idea to rest.

It’s this red bottom cover again, and it’s going to be this red bottom cover from now on. I’m just asking, do you think this cover is worthy of this racket’s fancy paint job? It’s the kind of thing that goes with the bland YA paint job.

On paper, the AXFORCE 100 is the most high-end racket in the world. Personally, I don’t like the idea of stacked products, because it means that most of the product team’s efforts are wasted on supply chain gaming, brainless benchmarking and marketing bluster, and the product will not be well-tuned.

If I didn’t have a little bit of expectation, I wouldn’t be willing to increase the price to buy the first batch. Fortunately, after playing it in the hands, I was once again impressed.

Offensive Peak

I didn’t say ‘peak of attack’, it’s an advertising slogan for the header cardboard.

It can be interpreted in many ways, in can be said to be the pinnacle of all offensive rackets, and out can be said to be the pinnacle of Li-Ning’s offensive racket AXFORCE series.

But either way, it is defined as the pinnacle, so does it live up to that definition?

The AXFORCE 100 still features the fluid box frame that is a staple of current offensive rackets, and the shots are among the more solid.

The frame shape of the AXFORCE 100 is not exactly the same as the competing 100zz, being a bit flatter at the top and wider at the bottom, and then featuring a 72-hole wire hole arrangement. These moves are supposed to improve the sweet spot and reduce racket pressure, making the racket better on the hand and more forgiving.

When I first get on it, I can feel a more pronounced head weight. I could feel the inertia of the head on the swing, but it was just right for me, not out of control.

The hardness of the 4u centre stick is marked as slightly stiff, but the overall experience is that it’s not too difficult to drive, the power transfer is smooth, and with the weight of the head, you can feel the deformation of the centre stick when you make a big shot, which makes it easier to drive than the 100zz centre stick.

It is obvious that the AXFORCE 100 has been improved from the 100zz, and the difficulty of getting started is one level lower than the 100zz. It’s clear that Li-Ning still hasn’t stepped out of the box of consumer experience, and still wants to make commercially available racquets as less difficult to handle as possible.

-Offensive

Offensively the AXFORCE 100 has really surprised me. In my opinion, it is the ‘pinnacle of offence’, and my coach agrees, but only in my hands, it is better than any other racquet I have ever had.

The first time I used AXFORCE 100, my hitting point and timing became very accurate, and my kills were heavy and fast. When I tested my kills, there were a few shots that even my coach couldn’t help but wonder, ‘How did you get there so fast?

I’ve been hitting a lot of consistently, and it’s been a long time since I’ve had a racquet that can kill me in a single shot. It’s not that it’s an absolute plus for kills, but it’s a very good ‘fit’ for me, much better than ASTROX 100zz, ASTROX 99 and other racquets.

In addition to kills, I also got good feedback from active pumps and chops, as it held the ball and provided me with some hold, which increased my confidence on active shots and made me more aggressive.

Why do I emphasise that it is the pinnacle of attack in my hands? Because it doesn’t necessarily fit anyone else. The closest I’ve come to it, my coach, thinks it’s a poor attacker. He is using VT80, the most immediate feeling is that AXFORCE 100’s middle shaft is a bit soft, the force transmission is not dry enough. He thinks switching to a stiffer line should improve it, and leaves it up to other golfers to try it if it works.

-Defence

The AXFORCE 100’s strength on the defensive end lies solely in the catch and kill pop backcourt. This centre stick is really good for power and flexibility, easy to get to the backcourt with a single top shot, and the top slice is spot on.

But catching kills to get rid of the ball is more difficult, very test of control, if you are not careful, it will be too high to be blocked, I played a number of games have not been able to skillfully control down.

AXFORCE 100 belongs to the type of ball that is more manageable when there is room for power, and more painful when there is no room for power. I don’t think I can do the same kind of power as the pros, so it’s really hard to get chased down, and I couldn’t hit the middle of the court at all, and the quality of the return was very poor.

There is no need to expect performance from the centre front, as the head weight of the attacking racket is inherently at a disadvantage against the net, and it’s not just the AXFORCE 100 that will have this problem. You can only strengthen the workout or play less front court.

-Ball Control

AXFORCE 100’s ball control is moderate, no merit, no faults, did not appear in the middle of the club as some players said the ball flying, but it can not be said to be accurate. The net feel is not very subtle, and there is the occasional touch-and-go feeling.

This racket will be more suitable for blitz rather than defensive counterattack, out of the opportunity to attack without hesitation, the advantage to play to the maximum, because ball control is not considered a strong point of the offensive racket, the inertia of the head, the elasticity of the middle stick are testing your control, a little careless out of bounds is a common thing.

I’m going to go off topic again and say that the AXFORCE 100 has poor torsion resistance and the shaft wobbles when you hit it randomly, either you are a Hercules iron bar that can be thrown randomly, or I suggest that you find a reason to go to the warranty and get a new one. No matter how retarded the brand is, there is no way that they would not test the torsion resistance before mass production, and no way that they would not find a high level player to try it out, not to mention that it is such a fist product.

Sometimes the elasticity of the overflow does exist, by wearing hard line, raise the poundage can be improved, if really even the most basic torsion resistance are not up to standard, in the future there is no need to buy Li-Ning.

Before getting Toray’s top of the line carbon, Li-Ning’s racquets were still unique. The Wind Blade, Wind Action, Raid, Energy and other series all had their own understanding and unique development. The Energy frame has even been borrowed by ‘New Era’ across the sea recently.

However, after getting the good materials recently, I inexplicably gave up the previous accumulation, and went to target YY, almost every new racket can be found in the shadow of YY, and it seems that as long as we make YY rackets, we are victorious. But you keep chasing YY, why don’t I just buy YY?

If the 100zz never existed, then the AXFORCE 100 would definitely qualify as a uniquely great racquet. But now we all know what this racquet is based on, and it is born to be compared to other people’s kids, and the smallest flaws are magnified, and even the unique feel of the bat is described as ‘unlikeable’, but in fact, that other people’s kid is ‘unlikeable’, but because it was born first, it is ‘unlikeable’, and because it was born first. But in fact, that other child himself is also ‘four unlike’, but because it appeared first, that is unique.

AXFORCE 100 is a good hitting racquet, personally I think it is manageable for intermediate level and above, a little lower level can choose high bouncy string, and expert can choose hard string and high poundage, all of them can experience the elasticity of the 6.0mm centre stick very well.

Personally, I would recommend the AXFORCE 100 for singles and doubles backcourt, as it really drags in the centre front.

Still hope that Li Ning can be in the top materials under the auspices of the development of their own products, ‘benchmarking’ is the magic weapon of marketing, but never will be a shortcut to the brand to flourish.
