Wild Cards for Host Nation Germany The Badminton Europe Confederation has allocated three wild cards to top German players/duos for the tournament.
Men’s Singles: Matthias Kicklitz has been awarded the wild card. Recently crowned the German national champion, Kicklitz also secured titles at the Lithuania International and Iceland International on the European circuit last year and performed admirably with the German team at the 2024 European Men’s Team Championships.
Men’s Doubles: The duo of Jones Ralfy Jansen/Kenneth Neumann has received a wild card.
Mixed Doubles: The pair of Jones Ralfy Jansen and Linda Efler has been granted a wild card. Jansen/Efler demonstrated their prowess by winning the Estonian International earlier this year.
These athletes are considered fully deserving of their wild cards, expected not only to perform well but also to significantly contribute to the tournament by inspiring the home crowd with their performances.
