[Review Experience] Li-Ning HALBERTEC 6000

I still like the new generation of Li-Ning’s 6 series, which are a bit like YONEX’s higher-end 6 series, with their fresh, cute and pink look and relatively soft and friendly tuning. Unfortunately, I’ve only seen this style before with the AXFORCE 60, which was lent to me by a friend of mine, and it’s certainly a good racquet, otherwise it wouldn’t have been used by Yang Jiamin.

This time, my friend lent me the new HALBERTEC 6000, and I was able to get a glimpse of it.

Parameters: 4UG5, with sole, total weight in used condition 92.27g, balance point 298mm, 6.8mm center bar, length 212mm, medium-high stiffness, boxed racket frame, full cable slot, 76-hole cable bed, 30lbs warranty, threaded 25-27lbs Li Ning N69.

As I said, the ones that start with 6 are generally smaller and fresher, which is the primary element that got me excited about the HALBERTEC 6000. The asymmetrical design of the series logo features a solid white and lime green color on both sides of the frame, and a dark green primer on the center bar and T-head. With the semi-matte process, the whole racket looks more coordinated without losing the sense of hierarchy. A closer look at the racket frame is also more interesting pattern embellishment, will make me think of flowers, grass, streams and small outdoor scenes. One of the core competencies of Li-Ning’s rackets is really well done.

However, the racquet is not as user-friendly as I thought it would be, firstly, because the racquet’s head weight is quite obvious, although it can form a good borrowing force when dealing with slower forehands, but the wind resistance of the frame is not low, I would prefer to adjust the racquet in this positioning in the direction of lighter and faster; secondly, even if the stiffness of the center stick itself is moderate, it would be a little bit higher in the length of the 212mm center stick. Secondly, even if the stiffness of the center stick itself is moderate, the length of the 212mm center stick will increase the subjective stiffness and the difficulty of the elastic deformation. Of course, the above two points can be overcome with a little bit of break-in, and there is no problem with the elasticity and forgiveness of the racket itself, so it is still not a difficult task for players with a certain level of basic knowledge or playing experience.

As mentioned above, this is not a very flexible racquet, and this is better reflected in the first half of the middle court, when the racquet is flat and fast. The feeling of short power is very clear, but unfortunately, the slightly higher swing weight makes the process of racket leading a little longer, in the faster-paced white-knuckle confrontation, especially when the incoming line of the ball is closer to the armpit of the position of the power is more awkward. However, the problem is not very big, because the HALBERTEC 6000 out of the ball is more stable, pointing clear, in the process of pumping more confident to play a large angle out of the ball to limit the other side, or to add a beat of soft blocking a beat to destroy the other side of the tempo, so there are still means can be with the other side of the circle.

As a balanced racket, I rather think that its offensive performance is a major highlight, which will produce the same satisfaction as when I tried HALBERTEC 8000. Because the racket out of the ball is very stable, hit the spot is very accurate, sometimes do not need to be big force action through the more delicate direction adjustment can achieve the purpose of loosening the opponent’s defense. And its heavy hitting performance is also not bad, hitting the ball with a heavy feeling. The 6.8mm center stick has a lot of energy after bending, which is an advantage of the slightly shorter center stick, and it is easier for players with good power skills to experience its explosive power. At the same time, the racket’s swinging weight can also drive the ball head flight trajectory downward, will not appear to hit the floating situation. I think the HALBERTEC 6000 is well-balanced in terms of attack power, accuracy and forgiveness, and I can’t find any major faults.

And the series is most proud of the control ability, I think HALBERTEC 6000 is also competent, but there is little that can be said, after all, the performance of the structure and materials of this frame has been verified in many racquets, torsion resistance needless to say, no persuasive pointing lack of counter-examples found. Therefore, whether it is a small ball or a long distance path, the racket can tell you in the moment of the shot yes or no, the strength and angle truthfully reflected in the landing point of the ball’s flight.
The HALBERTEC 6000 is actually quite nice to look at, a racquet that leans towards tough and bouncy but not soft, with a little bit more defined feel on offense, and perhaps a big overlap with the AXFORCE 60 in terms of the group it’s ultimately geared towards.
