Cheah Yee See


Character Introduction

Cheah Yee See (November 18, 1995), real name Cheah Yee See, is a Malaysian female badminton player.

Cheah Yee See started playing badminton at the age of 10 under the influence of her father. After just one year of training, she won the Under-12 Girls’ Singles title in the 2006 MSSPP tournament, and later won both the Girls’ Singles and Girls’ Doubles titles in the PBA Inter-State Championships.

In July 2011, Tse Yee Hee represented Malaysia in the Asian Junior Badminton Championships held in Lucknow, India, helping the Malaysian team to win the second place in the mixed team.

In October 2014, Xie Yixi and Goh Yueh Ching played in the Hungary Badminton International, defeating the multinational duo’s (Denmark: Josefine Van Zanna/Sweden: Emma Vinberg) in the women’s doubles final 3-0 (11-4, 11-10, 11-10), which was also her first international series women’s doubles title.

In July 2017, Yixi Xie and Bingshun Chen played in the Russian Badminton Grand Prix and defeated Japanese powerhouse Keiichiro Matsue/Xibu Araki 3-0 (11-8, 13-11, 11-3) in the mixed doubles final, which was also her first international Grand Prix mixed doubles title.

In October 2021, success in the Sudirman Cup Team Championships Round of 8 helped Malaysia beat Indonesia 3-2 in the deciding match, when Malaysia were tied 2-2 and needed the mixed doubles to decide the winner. World No. 27 Koh Bong Yong/Xie Yixi blew away their strong rivals, World No. 4 Praveen Jordan and Melati Dhiava Oktaviani, to help Malaysia pick up a crucial point. They helped Malaysia take a crucial point to reach the quarterfinals after twelve years since 2009.
