Ashwini Ponnappa (Kannada: ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ ಪೊನ್ನಪ್ಪ, born September 18, 1989), full name Ashwini Ponnappa Machimanda, is an Indian female badminton player specializing in doubles.
In November 2010, Ashwini Ponnappa represented India at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, competing in the women’s doubles and women’s team events.
In August 2011, she, along with Jwala Gutta, participated in the Women’s Doubles event at the World Badminton Championships held in London, where they achieved a personal best by reaching the semifinals, ultimately losing to the 5th-seeded Chinese pair Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei.
