Canada Competition: Watanabe Hang Gui Raniere for the title; Denmark takes mixed doubles crown

Men’s singles player Hiratoshi Watanabe 22-20, 21-13 Yukushi Tanaka advanced to the final, collecting his first ever win in a match. The final was against Ranil, who avenged last year’s Spanish Masters loss with a 21-17, 21-10 Priyasu victory.

Women’s singles, Busanan 21-18, 21-14 Zhang Beiwen, advanced to the final, avenging a 3-game losing streak. She faced Jacksfield in the final, while her opponent turned back Okuhara 15-21, 21-9, 21-8 to avenge a 7th straight loss.

The Men’s Doubles team of Astrup/Anders made it to the final against Kenya Mihashi/Yohki Okamura 11-21, 21-19, 21-11, making it 2 wins in a row. They will play for the Men’s Doubles title against Wendi/Ben Ryan, who avenged last year’s Arctic Open loss with a 21-10, 21-17 win over Kjaer/Sogard.

The Women’s Doubles team of Suzu Iwanaga/Koei Nakanishi won 18-21, 21-17, 21-8 against Kanlaha/Muenwang to reach the final, making it three wins in a row. In the final against Lim Chee Yun/Hsu Yun Marsha, the latter won 21-13, 11-21, 21-19 against Xie Peishan/Hong Eun Ci to make it two wins in a row.

In Mixed Doubles, Mathias/Boer won 21-4, 21-15 in 25 minutes against Lu Myung Chul/Hong Eun Tzu to reach the final and win for the first time in their history. In the final, they faced Jasper/Emily, who won their first match against Marsha Koh 21-19, 21-14.
