  • Han Yue


    Character Introduction

    Han Yue, female, is a Chinese female badminton player and international level sportsman.

    Han Yue studied in Zhangzhou No.1 Middle School from 2015-2018 and was a member of the school badminton team. During her time on the team, she stood out from the crowd and was sent to the Fujian Provincial Team and the National Team, and achieved successes in various competitions at home and abroad.She graduated from Zhangzhou No.1 Middle School in 2018, and was specially recruited to study at the School of Economics and Management of Tongji University in the same year.

    On 7 September 2016, the first day of the Indonesia Masters of the Badminton World League (BWL) Gold Series was contested yesterday. Chinese flower Han Yue, who is fighting in the women’s singles qualifying round, easily overcame two host players with two 2-0 successively to advance to the main round.

    At the Asian Youth Championships, which ended on 30 July 2017, in the women’s singles final, Han Yue faced Thailand’s Chai Wan, born in 1999, who won the title with a 21-15/21-13 victory in 45 minutes.

    On 14 October 2017, China won the 2017 World Junior Mixed Team Badminton Championships, beating Malaysia 3-1 to win the title. In the fourth women’s singles match, Han Yue played against Malaysia’s Christina Ng.

    On 25 November 2018, the final of the 2018 Said Modi International Badminton Championships was contested in India, with women’s singles youngster Han Yue beating host player Neville 2-0 to win the title.

    On 2 May 2021, in the women’s singles final of the 2021 National Badminton Championships and Qualifying Tournament for the National Games badminton event held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, Han Yue finished second after losing 0-2 to Chen Yufei.
    On 11 September 2021, Han Yue won the deciding game in the women’s badminton team bronze medal match of the 14th National Games, helping Fujian to win the bronze medal with a narrow 3-2 victory over Zhejiang.

    On 17 October 2021, Han Yue’s Chinese badminton team defeated Japan 3-1 to regain the Uber Cup title. Han Yue contributed to China’s final win with an outstanding performance and became the new World Champion.

    In October 2023, Han Yue won her first career Super 500 title at the Arctic Badminton Open, defeating teammate Wang Zhiyi in three sets in the women’s singles final.

    Character Introduction

    Wang Zhiyi (王祉怡), born in 2000 in Shashi City, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, is a Chinese badminton player.

    In 2010, Wang Zhiyi became involved in badminton and graduated from Hongxing Road Primary School in Shashi City, Jingzhou, Hubei Province, where she learnt from former national player and women’s doubles star Wei Yili.

    In 2012, Wang Zhiyi officially became a badminton player at the Hubei Olympic Sports Centre.

    In 2014, Wang Zhiyi entered the national youth team.

    In 2017, Wang Zhiyi was selected into the second team of the Chinese national badminton team.

    On 3 September 2017, in the women’s badminton team final of the Thirteenth Games of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Zhiyi played the third women’s singles match on behalf of Hubei, and lost to Wang Shixian, 0-2 (15-21, 12-21); ultimately, Hubei lost to Jiangsu by a total score of 1-3, and won the second place. On 19 November, in the women’s singles final of the 2017 Korea Badminton Youth Challenge, Wang Zhiyi won the title with a 2-0 (21-14, 21-12) victory over Wei Yaxin. At the end of the same year, Wang Zhiyi was selected to the first team of the Chinese national badminton team.

    On 22 July 2018, in the women’s singles final of the 2018 Badminton Asia Junior Championships, Wang Zhiyi won the title with a 2-0 victory over Zhou Meng.

    In 2019, she was honoured by the General Administration of Sport as an international-level sportsman.

    On 15 July 2019, in the women’s singles final of the 2019 U.S. Open Badminton Championships at the Super 300 level, Wang Zhiyi defeated South Korea’s Kim Jae-eun, 2-0 (21-18, 21-19), to collect her first individual singles title at a Super 300 event.

    On 6 October 2019, Wang Zhiyi won the women’s singles final of the Indonesia Badminton Malang Badminton Masters with a 2-1 (20-22, 21-15, 21-13) victory over Thailand’s Pongtip.

    On 14 September 2020, Wang Zhiyi won the 2020 China Badminton Club Super League as a member of Qingdao Renzhou Badminton Club.

    On 10 November 2020, in the women’s singles final of the 2020 National Badminton Championships, Wang Zhiyi lost to Chen Yufei 2-4 (13-11, 8-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-13, 9-11) to finish second.

    On 11 September 2021, in the women’s badminton team final of the 14th Games of the People’s Republic of China, Wang Zhiyi played the third women’s singles match on behalf of Hubei, and gained a point for Hubei by defeating Hui Xirui 2-1 (20-22, 21-8, 21-14); finally, Hubei won the championship by defeating Jiangsu with a total score of 3-0.

    In 2021, she was awarded the title of Hubei Youth May Fourth Medal by the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Hubei Provincial Youth Federation.

    On 1 May 2022, in the women’s singles final of the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships, Wang Zhiyi won the title by defeating Japan’s Yamaguchi 2-1 (15-21, 21-13, 21-19).

    On 28 January 2024, Wang Zhiyi defeated Japan’s Hope Okuhara 21-14,21-13 in the final of the Indonesia Masters, extending her unbeaten record with two consecutive victories in the encounter to win her first women’s singles title of the Badminton Federation Tour this season, breaking a title drought of nearly two years since she topped the Badminton Asia Championships in 2022.

    On 13 November 2022, Chen Boyang/Liu Yi won the Men’s Doubles at the Malaysia Badminton International, sweeping the host pair 2-0.

    In March 2023, Chen Boyang and Liu Yi teamed up to play in the Ruichang Badminton Masters, defeating the Malaysian duo 2-1 in the men’s doubles final to win their first career super tournament men’s doubles title.

    Character Introduction

    Since the age of seven or eight, Liang Weikang has been practising badminton, initially under the influence of his father, and at around the age of 10 he was selected to start systematic training at the Guangzhou Sports Vocational and Technical College, and later under the tutelage of Lu Richu. Yang Xinfang, the head coach of Guangzhou badminton team, still remembers that Liang Weikang was chubby when he first joined the team, but the test of various indexes of the Institute of Physical Education showed that the condition was not bad, and he stayed in the team.

    In August 2015, Liang Weikang entered the professional team training , former national team men’s doubles players, now Guangzhou team coach Cheng Rui, took over the training of Liang Weikang. Due to the fat body, Liang Wei-clang childhood running in the team is always the bottom first, but he is not defeated, toughness, the coach called him to add practice, he will honestly do, never ambiguous.

    In 2017, in order to prepare for the National Games, Cheng Rui seconded to the provincial team to help, at the same time Liang Weichang brought the provincial team Ersha’s men’s doubles training group, under the supervision of He Shangquan. From November of the same year, Liang Weikong was selected to train with the Chinese badminton team.

    Liang Weikong really took badminton as a lifelong career around 2018, as that was when he was selected for the national team and went on to take second place in the men’s doubles and team title at the Asian Junior Badminton Championships, team title at the World Junior Badminton Championships and third place in the men’s doubles.

    On 4 September 2022, Liang Wei-Kong/Wang Chang won their first WBF Superseries 750 level men’s doubles title by defeating the Danish duo Astrup/Rasmussen 21-18,13-21,21-17 in the men’s doubles final of the Japan Open Badminton Championships.

    On 3 February 2023, he was awarded the title of International Sportsman.

    In December 2023, Liang Wei-Kong/Wang Chang finished second in the Men’s Doubles in the WBF Tour Finals against Kang Min-Hyuk/Seo Seung-Jae 17-21 20-22.

    In January 2024, Liang Wei-Kong and Wang Chang won the Malaysian Open with a 9-21 21-18 21-17 victory over Rangiradi/Sheti.

    Character Introduction

    Li Junhui (李俊慧), male, born on 10 May 1995 in Anshan, Liaoning, is a men’s doubles player of the Chinese badminton team and the men’s doubles champion of the 2018 World Badminton Championships.

    Li Junhui learnt from Zhang Qiang, the inspiring coach of Yu Yang and Du Jing. The careful guidance of his mentor, coupled with his own good sense of the ball, he progressed particularly fast. After 3 years of practice in the school, Li Junhui won the singles championship in the Liaoning Provincial Junior Competition, and was thus recognised by Liaoning head coach Ai Qian and selected to join the Liaoning team.

    In 2010, Li Junhui, who had already switched to doubles, won the Mixed Doubles Championship and the Boys Doubles Runner-up in the National Junior Championships.

    In 2011, Li Junhui won the third place in Men’s Doubles in his first national youth tournament and was selected to join the national youth team.

    In January 2012, Li Junhui officially entered the national team.

    In July 2013, Li Junhui represented the national team to participate in the Asian Junior Badminton Championships held in Sabah, Malaysia, and won the Men’s Doubles match with Liu Yuchen.

    In 2014, India Badminton Golden Grand Prix, in the men’s doubles competition, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the championship.

    On 19 April 2015, China Badminton Masters, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the championship men’s doubles.

    On 25 September 2015, IWF Super Tournament Japan Open, in the men’s doubles final, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the men’s doubles title with a 2-0 victory over the South Korean men’s doubles pair Ko Sung Hyun and Kim Ki Jung. This was the first super tournament title won by Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen.

    On 6 April 2017, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced the latest world rankings, and Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen topped the men’s doubles world No. 1.On 30 April, at the Badminton Asia Championships held in Wuhan, China, in the men’s doubles final, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the title by defeating their teammates Huang Kaixiang and Wang Yilu with the score of 2-0.On 18 June, in the BWF Superseries Indonesia Open, in the men’s doubles match, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the title by defeating Indonesian duo Ghifarnadi and Sukamuyo.

    On 27 May 2018, at the 2018 Thomas Cup, Li Junhui and teammates Chen Long, Liu Cheng, Zhang Nan, Shi Yuqi and Liu Yuchen won the title with a 3-1 victory over Japan.

    On 5 August 2018, at the World Badminton Championships, in the men’s doubles final, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen teamed up to win their first individual World Championships men’s doubles title with a 2-0 victory over the Japanese duo of Kenshi Kamura and Keigo Sonoda.

    On 16 December 2018, at the 2018 Badminton World Federation (BWF) Finals, in the men’s doubles final, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the men’s doubles title at the end-of-the-year finals with a 2-0 victory over the Japanese duo of Isao Watanabe and Daisuke Endo.

    On 26 May 2019, at the 2019 Sudirman Cup World Badminton Championships, in the mixed team competition, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the title.

    On 31 July 2021, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen won the silver medal in men’s doubles badminton at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

    On 12 November 2021, Li Junhui announced her retirement on Weibo, the main reason for her retirement was that she was unable to complete normal training due to injuries.

    Character Introduction

    Liu Yuchen, male, born on 25 July 1995 in Beijing, is a Chinese badminton player who plays for the Beijing badminton team and is the men’s doubles champion of the 2018 World Badminton Championships.

    Liu Yuchen was born into a sports family, his father Liu Huisheng is the head coach of the Beijing women’s badminton team, his mother Song Yuling is the coach of the Beijing swimming team, and his sister Liu Jing is a member of the National Swimming Team, who won the gold medal in the 4×200 metres freestyle relay with her teammates at the 2009 World Swimming Championships.

    At the age of 10, Liu Yuchen officially entered the badminton second-string team of Shichahai Sports School and practiced badminton; he made rapid progress with the help of his father, and by 2010, at the age of 15, Liu Yuchen had already entered the first team of the Beijing badminton team, and in the same year, he was also selected as a member of the national youth training team.

    In 2012, Liu Yuchen represented the national team to participate in the World Junior Badminton Championships held in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, and won the third place in Men’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles with Wang Yilu and Chen Qingchen respectively. In the same year, Liu Yuchen entered the second national team.

    In July 2013, Liu Yuchen represented the national team at the Asian Junior Badminton Championships held in Sabah, Malaysia, winning the Men’s Doubles competition with Li Junhui.

    On 25 September 2016, Liu Yuchen won the men’s doubles title at the Japan Open Badminton Championships.

    On 30 June 2017, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) announced the latest world rankings, and Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen were ranked first in the world in men’s doubles.

    On 27 May 2018, the 2018 Thomas Cup came to an end in Bangkok, Thailand, with Liu Yuchen and teammates Chen Long, Liu Cheng, Zhang Nan, Shi Yuqi, and Li Junhui, winning the title with a 3-1 comeback victory over Japan.

    On 5 August 2018, in the men’s doubles final of the World Badminton Championships, Liu Yuchen partnered with Li Junhui to win his first individual World Championships men’s doubles title by defeating the 5th seeded Japanese duo of Kenshi Kiamura/Keigo Sonoda 2-0 (21-12, 21-19).

    On 23 August 2018, the men’s badminton team final at the Jakarta Asian Games was contested by the Chinese men’s team of Shi Yuqi, Li Junhui, Liu Yuchen, Chen Long, Liu Cheng, and Zhang Nan, who won the title with a resounding 3-1 victory over the host Indonesian men’s team.

    On 31 July 2021, Liu Yuchen and Li Junhui were the runners-up in the men’s doubles badminton team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

    On 24 January 2022, according to Huang Zhanzhong, the head coach of the men’s doubles team of the Chinese badminton team, Liu Yuchen will form a new “Twin Towers” with Ou Xuanyi, who is also over 1.90 metres tall, due to the retirement of his original partner Li Junhui.

    On 19 June 2022, Liu Yuchen/ Ou Xuan Yi won the men’s doubles title at the Indonesia Open of the Badminton World Tour with a 2-0 (21-17, 23-21) victory over the South Korean duo of Kyu Hyun-gyu/Kim Won-ho.

    In December 2022, Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi competed in the BWF World Tour Finals and won the title by defeating the Indonesian pair of Asan/Hendra 2-1 in a three-set final.

    Character Introduction

    Ren Xiangyu, male, born on 23 October 1998, is a Chinese badminton player.

    A native of Luzhou, Sichuan, Ren Xiangyu showed his badminton talent at the age of 5. At the age of 11, Ren Xiangyu passed the selection for the Sichuan Provincial Junior Championships and was chosen to join the Sichuan Provincial Training Team. After that, he went to train with the Tianjin team for a year before finally registering with the Guangdong Dongguan team at the age of 14.

    In December 2015, Ren Xiangyu was selected from the Dongguan team to join the badminton national second team doubles group

    In early 2016, he officially entered the national team and began training.

    On 18 June 2018, Ou Xuanyi/Ren Xiangyu won the men’s doubles title at the 2018 Badminton World Tour U.S. Open.

    On 2 May 2021, in the men’s doubles final of the 2021 National Badminton Championships and Qualifying Tournament for the National Games badminton event in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, Guangdong duo Ren Xiangyu/Liang Weikang won the title with a 2-0 victory over Beijing duo Zhang Nan/Feng Yanzhe.

    In January 2022, the coaching staff of the Chinese badminton team announced a list of four pairs of men’s doubles starters. Among them, Ren Xiangyu from Guangdong team stood out and he will be paired with Tan Qiang, the runner-up of the World Championships, to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

    Character Introduction

    Wang Chang is a Chinese badminton player, born in 2001, who was trained by Ningbo Small Ball Training Centre and sent to the national team.

    Wang Chang is another rising star of Ningbo badminton team. A native of Ningbo, he won two gold medals at the 2014 Provincial Games and entered the provincial team training in 2015. At the 2017 Viktor Cup National Junior Badminton Sub-Tournament (Huaibei Station), he was selected to the national team for his outstanding performance.

    At the 2017 Asian Youth Badminton Championships, Wang Chang participated in the men’s doubles and won the men’s doubles title at the Asian Youth Championships, which ended on 30 July, when Di Zijian/Wang Chang beat Lee Sang-min/Ro Seung-seung 21-19/21-11.

    On 4 September 2022, Liang Wei-Kong/Wang Chang won their first WBF Superseries 750 level men’s doubles title by defeating the Danish duo of Astrup/Rasmussen 21-18,13-21,21-17 in the men’s doubles final of the Japan Open Badminton Championships.

    In December 2023, Liang Wei-Kong/Wang Chang finished second in the Men’s Doubles at the BWF Tour Finals, defeating Kang Min-Hyuk/Seo Seung-Jae 17-21 20-22.

    In January 2024, Wang Chang partnered Liang Weikang to win the Malaysian Open against Rangireddy/Sheti 9-21 21-18 21-17.

    In June 2024, Liang Wei-Kong/Wang Chang won the Indonesia Badminton Open final, defeating Malaysia’s Wan Wei-Cong/Cheng Kai-Man 19-21, 21-16, 21-12 to win the second Super 1000 Open Men’s Doubles title of the year after the Malaysia Open.

    Character Introduction

    He Jiting, male, born on 19 February 1998 in Shaowu, Fujian Province, is a Chinese badminton player, and winner of the Sudirman Cup World Mixed Team Badminton Championships.

    He began his badminton training at Shaowu Junior Sports School in 2005 under the tutelage of coaches Zheng Qixuan and Xu Jianping.

    In 2008, he entered the Fujian Provincial Junior Sports School, and in August of the same year, he entered the Fujian Provincial Badminton Team; in 2014, he was selected as a member of the National Badminton Youth Team.

    In December 2015, He Jiting was selected from the Fujian Provincial team to join the doubles team of the second badminton national team.

    At the beginning of 2016, he officially entered the national team to start training. He won three consecutive team titles at the Asian Youth Championships and World Youth Championships from 2014 to 2016, and the men’s doubles title at the Asian Youth Championships and World Youth Championships in 2015, as well as the mixed doubles title at the Asian Youth Championships and World Youth Championships in 2016.

    On 1 December 2019, He Ji Ting and Tan Qiang won the men’s doubles final at the 2019 Badminton World Federation Super 300 Said Modi Badminton Championships in India.

    On 3 October 2021, in the final of the Sudirman Cup World Mixed Team Badminton Championships, He Jiting/Zhou Haodong helped China beat Japan’s duo of Jorang Hiroki/Yugo Kobayashi 2-1 in the men’s doubles event to win the title.

    On 16 December 2021, they participated in the Badminton World Championships in Huelva, Spain, defeating the third-place finisher of the Tokyo Olympics, Malaysian duo Soo Wei-Yi/Thieh Dinh Phong, and advancing to the last eight with a bang. 17 December, in the Men’s Doubles Quarter-Finals of the World Badminton Championships 2021 in Huelva, Spain, the Chinese duo He Ji Ting/Tan Qiang defeated Malaysian duo Goh Ui Seng On 18 December, in the semi-final of the World Badminton Championships in Huelva, Spain, the men’s doubles pair of He Jiting/Tan Qiang defeated the 7th seeded pair of Denmark’s Astrup/Rasmussen to reach the final with a 2-1 (21-16, 13-21, 21-15) victory. 19 December, in the men’s doubles final of the World Badminton Championships in Huelva, Spain, the men’s doubles team of Chinese Jiting/Tan Qiang beat the 7th-seeded pair of Denmark’s Astrup/Rasmussen by 2-1 (21-16, 13-21, 21-15) and entered the final. In the Badminton World Championships Men’s Doubles Final, He Ji Ting/Tan Qiang finished as runners-up after losing 0-2 to Jorang Paulmu/Yugo Kobayashi.

    In March 2022, He Jiting violated the relevant rules of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) by failing to do his best to win the 2018 Fuzhou China Open, He will be banned for three months, suspended for two years, the penalty has come into effect on 25 January 2022, and will be enforced from 25 January to 25 April 2024. He will also be banned for two years for failing to win the 2018 Fuzhou China Open.
