    Character Introduction

    Bao Chunlai, born 17 February 1983 in Changsha, Hunan Province, is a former Chinese badminton player who won the Sudirman Cup Badminton World Championship and the Thomas Cup Badminton World Championship.
     
    Bao Chunlai was born in February 1983 in Changsha, Hunan province, to a family of ordinary workers. When Bao was 8 years old, the badminton coach of Changsha Amateur Sports School came to the school to select seedlings, and Bao Chunlai was selected.

    In August 1994, Bao Chunlai entered the Hunan badminton team training. At the end of the same year, Bao Chunlai was selected to join the Hunan provincial sports team.

    In 1995, Bao Chunlai participated in the 8th Hunan Provincial Games on behalf of Changsha Municipal Team and won the Men’s Singles Championship. In October of the same year, Bao Chunlai officially entered the Hunan Provincial Badminton Team.

    In 1998, Bao Chunlai was selected for the National Youth Team.

    In 1999, Bao Chunlai joined the China Badminton Team.

    In July 2000, Bao Chunlai participated in the Asian Youth Badminton Championships on behalf of the Chinese team and won the Men’s Team Championship. In November of the same year, at the 5th World Youth Championships, Bao won the Men’s Singles Championship, and was then selected to the first team of the national team.

    In 2001, Bao Chunlai participated in his first adult FIBA tournament at the Denmark Open Badminton Championships, winning the tournament.

    In May 2004, Bao Chunlai participated in the Thomas Cup on behalf of the Chinese team, and the Chinese team finally won the championship with a 3:0 victory over Indonesia.

    In May 2005, Bao Chunlai represented the Chinese team to participate in the 9th Sudirman Cup, and the Chinese team finally won the championship with a 3:0 victory over Indonesia.

    In August 2006, at the Korea Open Badminton Championships, Bao Chunlai won the title with a 2:0 victory over Roslin in the final, breaking a 4-year and 10-month drought of international singles titles.

    In September 2006, in the 15th Badminton World Championships, Bao Chunlai defeated Sony, Lee Chong Wei, Lee Hyun Il and other opponents, and teammate Lin Dan to meet in the final, and finally 1:2 lost to his teammate to the second place.

    In November 2007, Bao Chunlai won the China Badminton Super Tournament, defeating Li Zongwei 2:0, ending three consecutive runner-ups and winning the China Tournament for the first time.

    In April 2009, Bao Chunlai won the Men’s Singles title at the Badminton Asia Championships with a 2:1 victory over Chen Long.

    On 21 September 2011, Bao Chunlai announced his retirement from Badminton World Federation events.

    Weng Hongyang (18 June 1999) is a male badminton player from the People’s Republic of China.

    He entered the Municipal Sports School in September 2006, the Provincial Sports School in October 2009, and the Provincial Sports Team in March 2011.

    He entered the national team in March 2018, and has trained with Chen Bihong, the coach of Fuzhou City Sports School.

    In March 2019, Weng Hongyang played in the China Lingshui Badminton Masters Tournament and won the title by defeating teammate Liu Haichao in the men’s singles final.

    2020 National Badminton Championships Men’s Singles Champion

    On 11 September 2021, his Fujian team won the Men’s Badminton Team Final of the 14th National Games.

    On 2 November 2021, he was selected by Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau as one of the candidates for the “14th National Games Athletes, Coaches and Meritorious Collectives and Individuals with Great Merits”.

    In November 2021, he was awarded the title of “Fujian Youth May 4th Medal”.

    On 21st February 2022, he was awarded the title of “International Sportsman” by China Badminton Association.

    In April 2022, Weng won his first Super 500 Men’s Singles title at the Korea Open by defeating Indonesia’s Jonathan 2-1 in the final.

    In August 2023, Weng Hongyang played in the Australian Open Badminton Championships and won the title by defeating Prannoy 2-1 in the final.

    In October 2023, Weng Hongyang won the Super 750 for the first time in his career by sweeping Malaysia’s Lee Tsz Ka 2-0 in the men’s singles final of the Denmark Open Badminton Championships.

    In May 2024, Weng Hongyang won the 2024 Thomas Cup Men’s Team Championship, the first world title of his career. come

    Li Shifeng is a Chinese badminton player, born on 9 January 2000 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.

    In 2006, Li Shifeng started to practice badminton.

    In 2009, Li Shifeng entered the Jiangxi Provincial Badminton Team.

    In 2012, Li Shifeng became a professional badminton player when he entered the training of the Badminton Team of Bayi.

    In 2014, Li Shifeng was selected into the youth team of China National Badminton Team.

    In October 2017, Li Shifeng went to the World Youth Badminton Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia with the Chinese team and won the gold medal in the mixed team event.

    In July 2018, he played with the Chinese team in the Asian Youth Badminton Championships held in Jakarta, Indonesia, and won the title by defeating Japan 3-0 in the final of the mixed team event.

    In October 2018, Li Shifeng represented China at the Youth Olympic Games badminton tournament in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he won the men’s singles final, beating India’s Ratsya Sen 2-0. It was also his first gold medal achieved in an international competition in the youth category.

    In July 2019, in the men’s singles final of the 2019 Canadian Open Badminton Championships, Lee Shyam defeated India’s Kashyap 2-1 (20-22, 21-14, 21-17) to win the first adult tour title of his career.

    In March 2023, Li Shifeng played in the All England Open Badminton Championships and won his first All England Open (1000 level) men’s singles title with a 26-24, 21-5 victory over teammate Shi Yuqi in the final.

    In October 2023, Li Shifeng won his first career Asian Games gold medal by defeating Shi Yuqi 23-21, 21-13 in the men’s singles final at the Hangzhou Asian Games.

    Zhang Zhijie (January 2007 – 30 June 2024), born in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, was a Chinese badminton player. He started to play badminton from kindergarten class, and was transported to the Zhejiang team in the third grade of primary school, and entered the national youth team in 2023.

    He has won the 2022 National U Series Badminton Tournament U15-17 Finals 15 Years Old Boys Singles Champion, the 2023 National Youth Badminton Championships Group B Boys Singles Champion and Boys’ Team Champion, the 2024 Holland Youth Badminton International Boys Singles Champion, and the 2024 National Youth Badminton Championships Group B Boys’ Team Champion. On 28 March 2024, won the 2024 National Youth Badminton Championships Group B Men’s Team Championship.

    On 30 June 2024, local time in Indonesia, Zhang Zhijie fainted on the court during the match, and then passed away at 23:20 local time after medical treatment and rescue, at the age of 17 years old. come
