Arif/Yap maintained a lead for most of the second game and seemed likely to force a decider. However, the Danish duo rallied with a patient game to claw back and maintain their perfect record this week.

They have a chance to become the first Danish pair to win the men’s doubles title at the Malaysia Masters. They will face Korea’s Jin Yong/Na Seong-seung, who first defeated top seeds and home favorites Cheah Kah Ming/Soh Wooi Yik and then won two straight games against China’s He Jiting/Zhou Haodong.

Other Results In one of the week’s matches, Indonesia’s Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari defeated Denmark’s Mathias Christiansen/Alexandra Bøje 26-24, 14-21, 21-18 in a thrilling contest.

Bulgarian sisters Gabriela Stoeva and Stefani Stoeva lost 14-21, 16-21 to top seeds Nami Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida.
