Character Introduction

Hu Yun, a former Chinese badminton player from Hubei, later became a men’s badminton player for Hong Kong.

Hu Yun was originally a member of the Chinese national badminton team. After leaving the national team in 2006, he moved to Hong Kong to continue his career. He won the Hong Kong Open Men’s Singles title twice (in 2007 and 2009).

In November 2010, Hu Yun represented Hong Kong at the Guangzhou Asian Games, participating in both the men’s singles and men’s team events.

In August 2015, Hu Yun competed in the World Badminton Championships held in Jakarta, Indonesia. As the 13th seed in the men’s singles event, he was defeated 0-2 (12-21, 18-21) by Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei in the quarterfinals, finishing in the top 8.
