In today’s 2024 India Open Badminton quarterfinals, the match between Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino and Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai was a thrilling three-set battle, with the Thai pair narrowly winning 2-1 (21-17, 15-21, 27-25).

At 25-all in the third set, the live broadcast captured an Indian fan holding a sign that read in English, “Yuta Watanabe, your drop shots are more beautiful than my girlfriend.”

Many fans who saw the sign commented, “Hope your girlfriend didn’t see that.”
