Johannes Schöttler (German: Johannes Schöttler, born August 27, 1984), is a German male badminton player who specializes in doubles events.
In September 2010, Johannes participated in the Bitburger Gold Grand Prix, where he teamed up with Ingo Kindervater in the men’s doubles final. They lost 0-2 (16-21, 16-21) to their Danish opponents, finishing as runners-up.
In August 2013, Johannes competed in the World Badminton Championships held in Guangzhou, China, playing in the men’s doubles with Ingo Kindervater. In the first round, they defeated the New Zealand pair 2-0 to advance, but in the second round, they lost 1-2 (21-16, 14-21, 10-21) to the 13th seeds, Lee Sheng-mu and Tsai Chia-hsin from Chinese Taipei.
In August 2015, Johannes Schöttler participated in the World Badminton Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, partnering with Michael Fuchs in the men’s doubles. In the first round, they defeated the Dutch pair 2-0, but in the second round, they lost 0-2 (13-21, 8-21) to the 5th seeds, Fu Haifeng and Zhang Nan from China.
