Kim Ga Eun


Character Introduction

Kim Ga Eun (Hangul: 김가은, February 7, 1998) is a South Korean female badminton player.

In February 2014, Kim Ga-eun represented South Korea at the Asian Junior Badminton Championships held in Taipei, Taiwan, helping the South Korean team win the second place in the mixed team.

In February 2017, Kim Ga-eun represented South Korea at the Asian Badminton Mixed Team Championships held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, helping her team win the second place in the mixed team. In May of the same year, she was named to the women’s singles roster for the Sudirman Cup, and eventually, with the strength of the team, achieved the first world championship title of her individual badminton career.

In September 2018, she played in the Hyderabad Open Badminton Championships and won the women’s singles title of the International Super 100 tournament by defeating Deng Xuan of Hong Kong, China, who was the fourth seed of the tournament, 2-1 (21-9, 18-21, 21-17) in the women’s singles final.

Won the 2022 Uber Cup with her team in 2022.
