On the second day of the 2024 Olympic badminton group stage, Liang WeiKeng and Wang Chang achieved their second consecutive victory, defeating the English pair Lane and Vendy 2-1.
After the match, Liang WeiKeng said, “Yesterday, the English pair had a close match with the Malaysian duo Chia and Soh, and with the shuttlecock being slow, we were prepared for a tough game. The multitude of colors in the stands can complicate the view and affect spatial perception of the shuttlecock, but it’s the same for everyone, so we must adapt well.”
Wang Chang commented, “In the first game, our serve and return were handled well, but it wasn’t as good in the second game. We started the deciding game trailing, but we turned the situation around starting with a series of consecutive points on our serve.”
