Character Introduction

Malvika Bansod (born September 15, 2001) is an Indian female badminton player.

Hailing from Nagpur, Maharashtra, Malvika Bansod comes from a family of dentists. From a young age, she had a keen interest in sports and participated in various activities before deciding to focus solely on badminton at the age of eight.

In September 2019, Malvika Bansod made her debut in an adult international tournament at the Maldives Future Series, where she reached the finals. She won her first title by defeating Myanmar’s Thet Htar Thuzar in straight sets (21-13, 21-11). Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Bansod had limited opportunities to compete internationally in 2020. However, as international events resumed in 2021, she claimed titles at the Uganda International and the Lithuania International. She also earned her first selection to the Indian national badminton team for the Sudirman Cup and Uber Cup.
