Permadi Fung
Character Introduction
Permadi Fung is a retired male badminton player born in Phewogdor, Central Java, Indonesia. He specializes in singles and originally played for the Indonesian national team, but later switched to represent Chinese Taipei.
Although Chen Feng showed impressive technical skills as early as 1990, he was often unable to represent his country due to the fact that the Indonesian national team at that time was full of good players, including Adi, Wei Renfang, Jogo Supriyanto, Hariyanto Abi, and Tsai Hsiang Lin, who were also ranked higher in the world in the men’s singles.
After moving to Taiwan in the mid-1990s, Chen Feng began his second career in badminton. By the end of the 1990s, when he was already over 30 years old, he started to play well. In addition to winning a number of international tournaments, he was also the runner-up at the 1999 World Badminton Championships at the “advanced” age of 31, losing only to China’s Sun Jun.
