Ra Kyung Min
Character Introduction
Ro Kyung-min (Korean: 라경민, November 25, 1976) is a South Korean female badminton player.
Ro Kyung-min represented South Korea in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In the women’s doubles, her team with Lee Kyung-won had a first-round draw, and in the second round defeated the Danish team of Penilee Hudel and Mette Schjoldager.In the quarterfinals, the Roh/Lee team defeated Lotte Bruil and Hae-ri Jang of the Netherlands, 15-5, 15-2. In the semifinals, they lost to China’s Jiewen Zhang and Yang Wei 15-6, 15-4, but then beat China’s Tingting Zhao and Yili Wei 10-15, 15-9, 15-7 to win the bronze medal.
Luo Jingmin also competed in the mixed doubles with teammate Kim Dongwen. They lost in the first round before defeating Chris Bruil and Lotte Bruil of the Netherlands in the second round, and in the quarterfinals, Luo/Kim lost to Jonas Rasmussen and Rikke Olsen of Denmark 17-14, 15-8.
Luo Jingmin retired after the 2004 Athens Olympics, and for the next two years she served as assistant coach of the national team and part-time coach of the Daekyo team.
After her retirement, she married her mixed doubles partner, Kim Dong Moon, and they moved to Calgary, Canada, where they had two children.
In 2011, she returned home to coach the Daekyo professional team in Korea.
