Character Introduction
Savitree Amitrapai (Thai: สาวิตรี อมิตรพ่าย; born November 19, 1988) is a Thai female badminton player who specializes in doubles events.
In July 2009, Savitree, partnering with Mongkhon, competed in the Thailand Gold Grand Prix. They reached the women’s doubles semifinals but were defeated 0-2 (11-21, 14-21) by the tournament’s second seeds, Yang Wei and Zhang Jiewen of China. In October of the same year, she and Mongkhon competed in the Vietnam Grand Prix, where they finished as runners-up in the women’s doubles, losing 0-2 (14-21, 13-21) to the top seeds from Indonesia, Annisa Wahyuni and her partner.
In November 2010, Savitree represented Thailand at the Guangzhou Asian Games, competing in both the women’s doubles and women’s team events, winning a silver medal in the team event.
In July 2013, Savitree represented Thailand at the Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia, where she won a bronze medal in the mixed team badminton event.
