Character Introduction

Susi Susanti (February 11, 1971) is an Indonesian former female badminton player, the 1992 Olympic Badminton Women’s Singles Champion, the 1993 Women’s Singles Champion of the World Badminton Championships, a five-time Badminton World Cup Champion, a six-time World Badminton Grand Prix World Badminton Grand Prix, six times World Badminton Grand Final Champion and four times All England Champion. She has won two Uber Cups and one Sudirman Cup for the Indonesian national team. He is the first badminton player in the history of the world to have won the Olympic Games, the World Championships, the World Cup, the Grand Prix Final and the All England Championships in singles. She won the first Olympic gold medal in Indonesia’s history in 1992 and was inducted into the Badminton World Federation’s Hall of Fame in 2004.

Wang Lianxiang is married to Indonesian badminton player Wei Renfang. 16-year-old Wang Lianxiang and 19-year-old Wei Renfang fell in love with each other in 1987 while training with the Indonesian national team. In the 1992 Summer Olympics badminton tournament, two hours after Wang Lianxiang won the gold medal in the women’s singles, Wei Renfang won the men’s singles final to win Indonesia’s second-ever Olympic gold medal, and the two won the singles event together, which became an instant hit.

The two were married in 1997, and in 1998 Wang Lianxiang announced her departure from badminton due to her pregnancy, and after giving birth to her first daughter, Laurencia Averina, in 1999, she retired from the sport in September of the same year due to the need to focus on her family.[3] She was 28 years old at the time. In 2002, she and her husband started a sporting goods company that produces a range of badminton-related sportswear and sports shoes.
