Tai Yi
Character Introduction
In 1999, she joined the Jiangsu Youth Amateur Sports School. In 2002, representing the Wuxi team, she won three gold medals in the women’s team, singles, and doubles events at the Jiangsu Provincial Games. At the end of the same year, she was selected for the National Junior Team and became the captain of the women’s team. In 2003, she joined the Shanghai Badminton Team and was selected for the National Youth Team by the end of the year. She entered the national team in 2005 and played as the third singles player for the women’s team, helping them win the Asian Junior Championships title. She retired in 2009 and is currently coaching at a private club in Canada.
Later, she switched to Canadian citizenship and represented Canada in international competitions.
