Tee Jing Yi


Character Introduction

Tee Jing Yi is a Malaysian female badminton player.

In November 2010, Tay Ching Yee represented Malaysia at the Guangzhou Asian Games, competing in the women’s team event of the badminton tournament.

In February 2011, she defended her women’s singles title at the Malaysia National Badminton Grand Prix Finals with a 2-1 victory over Tse Suk Ah.

In 2012, Tay Ching Yee represented Malaysia in the women’s singles event at the Olympic Games held in London, England. In the group stage, she first lost to Bae Yeon Shu of South Korea by 1-2, and then beat Agnese Allegrini of Italy by 2-0, and finally left the tournament with one win and one loss in the second place of the group.

In August 2013, Zheng Qingyi participated in the World Badminton Championships in Guangzhou, China, playing in the women’s singles event, and lost 0-2 to Sayaka Takahashi of Japan in the first round.

In February 2014, she played in the Iran International Challenge and won her first international title in the women’s singles final with a 2-0 victory over teammate Lillian Weng.

Because of the focus on women’s singles program for 10 years is still mediocre performance, Zheng Qingyi in early 2017 to switch to doubles, hoping to breakthrough, the national team has arranged for her to partner with Song Peizhu and Wu Yueqing. 2018 October, Zheng Qingyi to the Malaysian Badminton Association to submit a letter of resignation, requesting to leave the national team.
