The IELTS combination saved 3 game points at the Paris Olympics

In the mixed doubles Group A match of the badminton event at the Paris Olympics, the highly anticipated Chinese duo, Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong, secured a thrilling victory over the host team Gicquel and Delrue with scores of 21-14 and 23-21, winning 2-0. This victory marked a successful start for the Chinese badminton team, which won all seven matches on.

In the first game, the Zheng-Huang pair displayed absolute dominance, securing the game 21-14 in ju.


The second game was filled with suspense and tension, with both sides keeping the score close. In the critical final moments, trailing 19-20, Zheng and Huang secured a crucial, extended rally to level the score at 20-20, and subsequently saved three game points. Demonstrating remarkable composure, they clinched the game 23-21, winning the match 2-0.

In another Group A mixed doubles match, the Korean pair, Kim Won-ho and Jeong Na-eun, who have been a tough opponent for Zheng and Huang, suffered their third consecutive defeat, losing 1-2 to the Indonesian duo, Rivaldy and Pitha.
