Treesa JOLLY
Character Introduction
Treesa Jolly (born May 27, 2003), from Cherupuzha, Kannur District, Kerala, is an Indian female badminton player.
Treesa Jolly was born in Cherupuzha, a small town in Kannur District, Kerala. Her father, Jolly Mathew Thaickal, is a physical education teacher and volleyball coach at a local high school, and he provided her with basic badminton training. He later resigned from his job to fully support Treesa.
Initially a singles player, Treesa Jolly found that she was more suited to doubles and teamed up with another singles player, P. Gopichand, whom she trained with at the Gopichand Badminton Academy. They started their partnership in 2021 and, in that year, reached the finals of the Women’s Doubles at the Polish International, India International Challenge, and Welsh International, eventually winning their first international title at the India Open.
