Wei Nan

Character Introduction

Wei Nan, a former Chinese badminton player, later switched to represent Hong Kong in men’s badminton.

In October 2010, Wei Nan competed in the Vietnam Badminton Grand Prix and reached the men’s singles final, eventually losing 0-2 (13-21, 14-21) to China’s Chen Yuekun and finishing as the runner-up.

In August 2014, Wei Nan participated in the World Badminton Championships held in Copenhagen, Denmark, competing in men’s singles. He defeated the 13th seed, Japan’s Kento Momota, 2-1 in the first round and then overcame Sri Lanka’s Dinuka Karunaratne 2-1 in the second round. However, he lost 0-2 (15-21, 18-21) to the 6th seed, China’s Wang Zhengming, in the third round, thus stopping at the Round of 16.
