Yeung Nga Ting
Character Introduction
Yeung Nga Ting Ting (born October 13, 1998) is a Hong Kong female badminton player.
Lianne Yeung’s mother is badminton coach Zhong Haiyu, a former Guangdong team player, and her older brother Yeung Shing Choi is also a badminton player and represents Hong Kong.
In 2013, Lianne Yeung began partnering with Ng Tsz Yau in doubles, where she plays the role of the main attacker, relying on her powerful smashes.
In October 2015, Lianne Yeung competed in the badminton competition at the 1st National Youth Games held in Fujian, where she and Ng Tsz Yau won the bronze medal in the women’s doubles.
In August 2017, Lianne Yeung participated in the World Badminton Championships held in Glasgow, Scotland, competing in the women’s doubles event with Ng Tsz Yau. In the first round, they defeated Finland’s Jenny Nystrom and Sonja Pekkola 2-0 (21-11, 21-17). However, they were defeated in the second round by the 12th seeds, Korea’s Chae Yoo-jung and Kim So-yeong, losing 0-2 (13-21, 14-21), and exited the tournament in the round of 32.
