Young Ah Gil


Character Introduction

Gil Yong-ah (Korean: 길영아, April 11, 1970), born in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, is a South Korean former female badminton player.

Gil Yeong-a won the women’s doubles bronze medal with Shim Eun-jung at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, and four years later at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, she won the mixed doubles gold medal with Kim Dong-moon and the women’s doubles silver medal with Jang Hye-ok.

In 2009, she was inducted into the Badminton World Federation Hall of Fame.
