Adidas
Adidas is a German sports equipment manufacturer and a member company of Adidas AG. Named after its founder Adolf “Adi” Dassler, it started producing footwear in 1920 in Herzogenaurach, near Nuremberg. It was registered under the name adidas AG on August 18, 1949. Adidas’s original classic slogan was “Impossible is Nothing.” In March 2011, Adidas invested 160 million euros to launch a new slogan, “adidas is all in.” Adidas has international projects in football, basketball, running, training, and tennis, and a “Heartbeat Sports” project responsible for sports that are particularly popular in certain regions, such as American football in North America, rugby in the UK and Australia, and cricket in India. In 2013, badminton in East Asia became Adidas’s latest “heartbeat sport.” After years of preparation, Adidas launched a badminton product line in 2013, offering products such as rackets, shoes, strings, clothing, stringing machines, shuttlecocks, grips, and bags.
