Chibing Wu

Character Introduction

Wu Chibing, a former member of the Chinese national badminton team, hails from Sichuan.

He began coaching abroad in 1992 and served as the coach for the Spanish National Olympic Team from 1994 to 1996. In 1997, he started coaching the U.S. National Olympic Team.

In 1996, he founded the New York City Badminton Club in New York and served as the head coach. He is the only professional coach in New York State to be certified as a national-level badminton coach in the U.S. During his tenure, he won several national championships in men’s doubles and mixed doubles.

Major Achievements

  • Bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 1989 World Badminton Championships.
