Marin defeated Stadelmann in the European showdown


Day two of the Paris 2024 International Badminton Tournament ended with two all-European matches between Carolina Marin and Jenjira Stadelmann, And Anders Antonsen vs. Collins Valentine Filimon.

Carolina Marin, the 2016 Rio Olympic gold medalist, was the first to beat 21-11. Although Switzerland’s Stadelman put up a stronger challenge in the second set, Marin won 21-19 to wrap up the match in 40 minutes. The Spaniard, who missed the last Olympics through injury, got off to a good start in Paris.
