The end of Tabarin and Pierque in Paris

Although Kim Astrup/ Anders Skaarup Rasmussen opened their Paris campaign with a win, they suffered a setback against 2020 Tokyo Olympic gold medallist Li Yang/Wang Qilin. The match went through three sets, with Chinese Taipei beating fourth seeds Denmark 21-15, 19-21, 21-15 in the decider. The next match against ninth-seeded Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuanyi of China will be crucial for the Danes, who will need to be on their best performance.

Meanwhile, Robin Taberin/Selina Pique officially withdrew from the Olympics after losing their second match in Paris. The Dutch duo have announced that Paris 2024 will be their last competition together. They lost 16-21 12-21 to Dechapol Puavaranukroh/ Sapsiree Taerattanachai of Thailand yesterday and to third seeds Seo Seung-jae/Chae Yoo Jeong of South Korea today.
