YEUNG Pui Lam
Character Introduction
Yeung Pui Lam (born October 26, 2001) is a Hong Kong female badminton player.
Yeung Pui Lam developed an interest in badminton after accompanying her mother and brother to badminton courts at the age of four. She began training under the “Badminton Young Athletes Training Scheme” of the Hong Kong Badminton Association at the age of eight and later received elite athlete training at the Hong Kong Sports Institute. Due to increasing academic pressure during her secondary school years, she transferred to Wai Kiu College.
In 2019, Yeung Pui Lam and Ko Shing Hei won the mixed doubles bronze medal at the 2nd National Youth Games of the People’s Republic of China, and the duo reached the quarterfinals at the World Junior Championships in the same year.
Since November 2021, Yeung Pui Lam has partnered with Lianne Yeung Nga Ting in international competitions, where they won the women’s doubles titles at the Bahrain International Series and the Bahrain International Challenge.
In the first half of 2022, Yeung Pui Lam and Lianne Yeung Nga Ting achieved success in several lower-tier tournaments in Europe, finishing as runners-up in the Netherlands and winning titles in Portugal, Poland, and Denmark. Additionally, Yeung Pui Lam partnered with Yeung Ming Nok in mixed doubles, winning the title in Slovakia.
