Character Introduction
Jwala Gutta (born September 7, 1983) is an Indian retired badminton player specializing in doubles. She was born in Waltair, Maharashtra, India, and has a mixed heritage with a Telugu father and a mother from Tianjin, China. She grew up in Hyderabad.
In November 2010, Gutta represented India at the Guangzhou Asian Games, competing in women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and the women’s team events.
In August 2011, Gutta, alongside Ashwini Ponnappa, competed in the Women’s Doubles at the World Badminton Championships in London. They achieved a personal best by reaching the semifinals but eventually lost to the 5th seeds, Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei from China.
