Lianne TAN

Character Introduction

Lianne Tan (Phonetic: 谭莲妮; November 20, 1990 -) is a Belgian female badminton player of Belgian and Indonesian descent. Her brother, Tan Yu Han, is also a member of the Belgian national badminton team. She graduated from Radboud University Nijmegen’s dental program and is a qualified dentist.

In 2012, Tan represented Belgium in the women’s singles badminton event at the London Olympics. During the group stage, she first defeated Sabrina Jaquet of Switzerland 2-0, but later lost 0-2 to Saina Nehwal of India, ultimately exiting the tournament with a record of one win and one loss, finishing second in her group.
