Huaiwen XU

Character Introduction

Xu Huaiwen, born in Guiyang, Guizhou, is a German badminton player.

Xu Huaiwen was originally a player on the Chinese badminton team. Later, due to limited opportunities to participate in major international competitions in China, she chose to become a naturalized German and continue her badminton career.

In April, she defeated Zhang Haili from the Netherlands in the final to claim the women’s singles gold medal at the European Badminton Championships. Later, at the 2006 World Badminton Championships held in Madrid, Spain, Xu Huaiwen advanced to the semifinals but was eventually eliminated by Xie Xingfang, securing a bronze medal.
