Svetlana ZILBERMAN
Svetlana Zilberman was born on May 10, 1958. She is an Israeli female badminton player. Born in the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. She represented the Soviet Union and won the third place in women’s singles at the 1986 European Badminton Championships. Later, she immigrated to Israel.
Svetlana Zilberman’s son, Misha Zilberman, is also a badminton player. In addition to being her son’s coach, she also serves as his mixed doubles partner. The two have won the national badminton championships many times. In August 2009, 45-year-old Svetlana and 19-year-old Misha participated in the mixed doubles competition of the World Badminton Championships held in Hyderabad, India.
