Character Introduction

Dejan Ferdinansyah (January 21, 2001) is an Indonesian male badminton player affiliated with the Pin Kee Badminton Club.

Originally from Garut Regency, West Java, Indonesia, Dejan joined the Pin Kee Badminton Club in 2019 and partnered Serena Kani to the final of the South Australian International that year.In 2021, due to the withdrawal of the entire Indonesian national team from the World Championships, Dejan/Kani, who was not a member of the national team, was the only Indonesian player to play at that World Championships.

In 2022, Dejan was paired with Widjaja, who had just left the Indonesian national team. They won their first title at the Denmark Masters, then the Indonesia International Challenger in their home country, and then beat R.N. Kusarjanto/L.A. Kusumawati at the Vietnam Open in September to win their first World Tour title and a third consecutive title as a team, before winning their fourth consecutive title two weeks later at the Malang International Challenger in Indonesia. Their international winning streak came to an end when they were defeated by Chinese pair Jiang Zhenbang/Wei Yaxin in the semifinals of the Malang Masters in Indonesia, but the results of these events have helped them to break into the top 50 in the world mixed doubles rankings.
