Anona Pak: New Zealand Chinese Badminton Player
Anona Pak, born on November 29, 1993, is a Chinese New Zealand badminton player. She was born in Hong Kong, China, and immigrated to Auckland with her family at the age of three, where she grew up. Encouraged by her family, she was exposed to various sports from a young age and was ultimately captivated by the charm of badminton. She began playing badminton at the age of 12 and started competing at 14. In 2011, she won the national junior championships in women’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. However, due to a torn Achilles tendon, she decided to focus on women’s doubles and mixed doubles events.
Anona Pak won the mixed doubles title at the 2018 North Harbour International. She also reached the finals in the women’s doubles event at the 2016 Waikato International and the mixed doubles event at the 2019 Sydney International.
