Catrine Bengtsson
Catrine Bengtsson (Swedish: Catrine Bengtsson, born on September 21, 1969) is a retired Swedish female badminton player.
Catrine Bengtsson and Maria Bengtsson participated in the women’s doubles event in the badminton competition at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. They lost to Guan Weizhen and Nong Qunhua of China in the quarterfinals with scores of 15-4 and 15-9 respectively. She also participated in three events at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics: women’s singles, women’s doubles (partnered with Margit Borg) and mixed doubles (partnered with Peter Axelsson).
In 1993, she won her biggest championship, the IBF World Championships mixed doubles championship, together with Thomas Lund of Denmark. In 1994, she won the European Badminton Championships mixed doubles championship together with Michael Sogaard of Denmark. Source: badmintoncn.com.
