Gillian M. CLARK
Gillian Margaret Clark, MBE (born on September 2, 1961), is a retired female badminton player from England. Currently, she serves as a tournament commentator for the Badminton World Federation.
Clark and Karen Beckman represented England in the Commonwealth Games. They won a silver medal in the women’s doubles badminton event.
Clark partnered with Julie Bradbury to participate in the women’s doubles badminton event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. In the first round, they defeated the Indonesian pair Yulmar Suslianti Ningrum and Rosiana Tendean. In the second round, they defeated the German pair Katrin Schmidt and Kerstin Ubben. In the quarterfinals, they were defeated 5-15, 5-15 by the South Korean pair Hwang Hye-young and Chung So-young, who eventually won the gold medal. Source: badmintoncn.com.
