Nguyen Thuy Linh: Vietnamese Female Badminton Star
Nguyen Thuy Linh (Vietnamese: Nguyễn Thùy Linh, born November 20, 1997) is a female badminton player from Vietnam. In December 2016, she competed in the Nepal International Series, winning her first international title by defeating Devi Yunita Indah Sari of Indonesia in the women’s singles final with a score of 2-0 (21-17, 21-16). In December 2017, she competed in the Italian International, securing the championship by defeating Line Christophersen of Denmark in the women’s singles final with a score of 2-1 (24-22, 16-21, 23-21). In 2023, she won the women’s singles championship at the Vietnam Open and the Vietnam Challenge. She also achieved second place in the women’s singles at the Thailand Challenge. In 2022, she won the women’s singles championship at the Vietnam Challenge and the Vietnam Open, and became the champion at the Belgian International. She earned a bronze medal in the women’s team event at the Southeast Asian Games in 2019. She was the champion at the Bangladesh Challenge in 2019 and reached the semifinals at the Malang Masters in Indonesia and the Bangladesh Challenge in 2018. In 2017, she won the women’s singles championship at both the Italian International and the Laos International. She also won the women’s singles title at the Nepal International Series in 2016.
