Badminton Shoes Victor P9600 Reviews
This is my new badminton shoe, Victor P9600. It’s the first wide-toe box and thick-soled badminton shoe in the stability series. Its forefoot thickness has increased by 60%, and the heel thickness by 6%. Coupled with full-sole E-TPU material, it enhances the overall shock absorption and stability. Hello everyone, I’m Little Star, and today we’re going to talk about this new Victor shoe with enhanced cushioning and thickened soles.
Appearance:
At first glance, this shoe appears to be pure white, but in fact, its tongue and inner mesh are light cyan, which has a stronger color texture and is deeply appealing to me. The side PU synthetic leather is cream-colored, while other parts are mainly white.
The three colors are very similar yet not exactly the same, giving the shoe a good overall look from a distance and a rich sense of layers when viewed closely. The silver trim and the passionate red heel make this shoe look stable yet lively. Additionally, the thick sole and the widened silver outsole design on the lateral side of the foot are very noticeable, both ensuring shock absorption and stability.
Weight:
The single 41-size P9600 weighs around 350 grams, similar to my P9200 II that I’ve worn for over a year. Despite the thicker sole, the weight has not increased, likely due to the extensive mesh design of the P9600.
Practical Experience:
- Comfort: My feet are a bit wide, and I really love this shoe’s wide-toe box design because it’s very comfortable. First, the overall wrap of the shoe is strong, with a high fit between the sole of the foot and the upper. During movement, the sole of the foot is well fixed. The extended tongue and thick padding at the ankle provide an extra layer of protection for the ankle. Additionally, the feeling of the thickened sole is very noticeable, especially the enhanced support in the forefoot compared to previous models.
- Functionality: Once on, the thick sole feels very solid yet not stiff. During running, the foot is securely wrapped in a comfortable position. The VSR rubber sole provides excellent grip, and the widened forefoot sole offers clear feedback when gripping the ground.
During jumping, thanks to the thickened sole, the shoe provides excellent shock absorption and quick rebound, without any hesitation, ensuring the continuity of movements. Moreover, the combination of the thick sole, high-performance EVA midsole, and carbon fiber plate enhances the shoe’s torsional rigidity, making it capable of handling various situations effortlessly.
- Durability and Breathability: This shoe has large areas of wear-resistant PU material on the inner side of the upper, and the VSR rubber sole extends upwards to wrap around, so there’s no need to worry about its durability. As for breathability, the double-layer breathable mesh is naturally superior to full PU material.
Additionally, although P9600 is designed with a wide-toe box, it can also be worn by people with slimmer feet. I let a friend with the same shoe size but slimmer feet try it on, and he found it comfortable with good wrap, too. By adjusting the tightness of the laces, this shoe can accommodate different foot shapes to achieve satisfactory comfort.
In conclusion, P9600 is a badminton shoe with impressive looks and comprehensive performance. If you’re looking for a professional shoe with strong wrap and excellent shock absorption, this shoe is worth a try. That’s all for this video. Thank you for your support and encouragement. See you in the next one!
