Badminton Racket VICTOR 90K METALLIC Reviews

AURASPEED 90K is one of the mainstays of the AURASPEED series, and is also the weapon that accompanied the Danish player Andersen in his battles. With the DriveX 10 METALLIC and the THRUSTER RYUGA METALLIC, the alloy and carbon fiber material has returned to the public’s attention again, and its hard hitting and loud and clear metallic sound makes it hard to stop playing. Its hard hitting feel and loud metallic sound are to die for.

This time it is the turn of Alloy Carbon Fiber and AURASPEED 90K to combine to create the new upgraded AURASPEED 90K METALLIC, which is the first time that Alloy Carbon Fiber has been used in AURASPEED series racquets, how does it perform? Let’s read on.

Paint Appreciation

The racket is painted in black and white, with turquoise on both sides of the frame, making it highly recognizable and distinctive. The details are embellished with hexagonal elements, and the gradient colors of dark violet and green violet are painted, which fits the theme of the alloy carbon fiber material and is full of a sense of technology. Small bumps or depressions are added to the center stick and frame for a more textured and layered feel when touched.

Core Technology Points Analysis

Alloy Carbon Fiber in the frame

Alloy Carbon Fiber, a new material made by fusing thin metal and high-toughness carbon fiber, is introduced into the ARS-90K METALLIC’s power windbreaker frame. Combined with TR+ Toughened Nano Carbon Tube Technology and Stretch Shield, it delivers a unique, fast and solid feel and a stronger head weight, which enhances the speed and power of the ball.

Center Barrel Tuning Improvement.

The 6.8 Bailo carbon fiber center tube, the continuation of the VICTOR anti-torsion system on the ARS-90K, whip gain system center tube dual technology, swinging more stable, hand feel tuning more rigid, out of the ball is more hard and elastic, to stimulate the sharp and precise coherence of the flat draw, so that you in the field of the domineering speed, ferocious attack.

Hands-on experience in detail

Hands-on experience

AURASPEED 90KM is my first time to use it, and at first I was worried about whether its slightly excessive hardness could be mastered by me, but after a simple hands-on experience, my doubts were instantly dispelled. Although the official hardness labeling shows that AURASPEED 90KM is close to full stiffness, it is not too difficult to use and most people will be able to use it quickly. The racket has a strong feedback and crispness, and the ball is fast and stable, but the racket is not head-heavy and requires more active power from the user.

Stability in Speed–Mid-court Insights

As the newest member of AURASPEED series, the performance of AURASPEED 90KM in terms of speed is undeniable. Although the head weight has increased compared to the previous generation, the overall speed and flexibility have not been cut down due to the even distribution of the overall mass of the racket, and the flat draws are fast and smooth, and the burden on the fingers and wrists is not obvious.

The AURASPEED 90KM also intentionally increases the ball-holding feel of the frame. Although the rigidity of the frame has been increased by the addition of upgraded Alloy Carbon Fiber, the AURASPEED 90KM doesn’t just touch the ball and go like the AURASPEED 90K, but instead stays on the line for a short period of time. While this slight increase in ball retention won’t give you significantly better control, the improvement in ball stability is noticeable.

With VICTOR anti-torsion system, AURASPEED 90KM brings hard and stable ball, fast and stable racket rebound, the feedback difference is obvious when pushing and picking the hook, and the hard tuning of the mid-shaft also makes it as handy as an arm extension, so you don’t have to worry about the overflow of elasticity in the mid-shaft and the fluttering of the small balls caused by the mid-shaft.

AURASPEED 90KM’s hard physical tuning makes the deformation of the racket small when hitting the ball, and the overall rebound is fast and stable, which improves its ability of continuous swinging and pumping, but the angle of the ball is on the straight side, so you need to pay attention to adjusting it in the real battle.

Same racket, different sweet spot – defensive performance

The design of large racket frame is often accompanied by the improvement of fault tolerance, and the improvement of fault tolerance is directly reflected in the performance of defense. AURASPEED 90KM has the characteristics of solid and fast shot, together with the design of large racket frame, it has a high quality of return in defense, and the clear and clear feedback of the ball also helps us to make adjustments at any time. AURASPEED 90KM is very good at soft blocking and ball distribution when facing offense, but when in defense, the space for power is severely squeezed, it will become a test of the user’s own ability to return the ball back to the top of the table or pump it back to the top of the table.

For AURASPEED 90KM, hitting the sweet spot or not is a different racquet. When we accurately hit the sweet spot, its elasticity is fully stimulated, at this time AURASPEED 90KM brings you the feeling of a high sweet speed racket, not only has a hard and elastic feel, as if the threshold of the hand has been lowered a lot; however, once you deviate from the sweet spot, you feel that the racket instantly becomes incredibly hard, as if hitting on a steel plate. These two completely different feedbacks can also help us quickly determine whether we hit the sweet spot or not, so that we can adjust at any time, so when we are passive, we should think about hitting the sweet spot as much as possible, so that the result is much better than forcing the power.

Stronger is Stronger–Offensive Experience

AURASPEED 90K has been most discussed by players about its offensive ability, and as an upgraded version, AURASPEED 90KM not only improves its offensive ability, but also has a better offensive feedback. AURASPEED 90KM’s stiff and elastic center stick has a strong explosive power, while its frame is made of alloy carbon fiber to enhance rigidity and stability, and the overall stiffer tuning also makes AURASPEED 90KM’s power transmission very fast and direct.

When using a traditional racket, the power is transmitted from the handle, deforms through the center stick, and is ultimately applied to the badminton ball by the frame. However, AURASPEED 90KM’s frame and center stick are more like a single unit, and the deformation of the whole unit is very small when hitting the ball, which reduces the loss of energy, and ultimately brings a brighter attacking effect.

When you have enough power to drive this racquet and hit the sweet spot accurately, the offensive power it displays is not inferior to the performance of similar offensive racquets, while the explosive metal sound effects bring strong positive feedback to stimulate the desire to attack. However, it should be noted that the downward pressure of AURASPEED 90KM is not driven by the racket head, but is more like the whole racket slamming downward, which, coupled with its own hard tuning, makes it even more important to test the user’s own ability to take the initiative to press down on offense.

When it comes to feedback, I have to compare it to the Harness 10M, which has the carbon fiber alloy in the frame and the mid-shaft, bringing two different experiences. As a spectator, the AURASPEED 90KM’s sound is explosive, but the bone conduction is not as effective as that of the AURASPEED 10M, so the feeling of self-consciousness is slightly inferior.

Speaking of which, I have to mention that AURASPEED 90KM has returned to a wooden handle, which has clearer feedback and a stiffer feel compared to the suspension core technology handle, which has the advantage of a soft feel and a strong whipping sensation. Only handle for personal feeling no obvious advantages and disadvantages, more is a matter of personal preference.

Overall, AURASPEED 90KM’s excellent power transfer performance and stiff tuning makes it a good attack among the speedy racquets, and its fast and stable rebound also increases its continuous attacking ability, however, due to the fact that the head weight isn’t too centralized, the feeling of downward pressure on the racket head isn’t obvious, and more active downward pressure is needed.

Conclusion

AURASPEED 90KM is the newest addition to the AURASPEED series, and it meets my basic requirements for a speedy racquet: fast ball release, fast swing speed, and fast consistency. The introduction of the alloy carbon fiber material delivers positive feedback, and the upgraded mid-stick makes the power transfer even drier and more powerful, giving it a one-hit winning ability. The large frame and large sweet spot design provides a good ball control experience with good forgiveness, fast and stable shots, but the racket’s overall tuning is hard, making it more difficult to borrow power. AURASPEED 90KM has a good elasticity, the threshold is not too high, new players may need to get used to the hardness, while advanced players almost no cost to start, but the upper limit of this racquet is relatively high, in order to stimulate the real potential of AURASPEED 90KM, users need to have a certain level of technical ability.
